Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you submit a job application through this website, how we use it, and what your rights are. The data controller is [Company Name], contact: [contact@example.com].
1. What data we collect
- Application data you provide: full name, email address, phone number, street address, city, state/region, country, the position you apply for, and optionally your gender and confirmation that you are over 18.
- Technical data: the IP address from which the application was submitted and the submission timestamp, recorded for security and abuse prevention.
- Notification data: a push subscription token for your browser and, where you provide them, your email address and phone number as additional notification channels (see section 3).
2. How we use your data
- To review and process your job application and to contact you about it.
- To notify you about the status of your application (e.g. when it has been reviewed).
- To maintain the security of this website.
Application data is stored in files on our own server. A copy of your application may also be kept temporarily in your browser's local storage on your device so the form works reliably.
3. Push notifications and OneSignal
Why notifications are part of the application process. Before submitting your application, you are asked to enable browser push notifications. We use them to inform you promptly when your application has been reviewed and about next steps in the hiring process.
If your browser does not support push notifications, you can still submit the application, and we will contact you by email instead.
Notifications are delivered through OneSignal (OneSignal, Inc., USA), a messaging service acting as our data processor. To make this work, the following data is shared with OneSignal:
- your browser push subscription token, browser type and language, coarse location (country) and timezone;
- your email address and phone number, so we can also reach you through these channels about your application;
- application details used to personalise messages: your name, the position you applied for, your city and country.
OneSignal processes this data on our behalf. You can read their privacy policy at onesignal.com/privacy_policy.
How to stop notifications. You can withdraw your consent at any time: disable notifications for this site in your browser settings (usually via the lock icon in the address bar), or use the bell widget on our site to unsubscribe. To stop email or SMS updates, use the unsubscribe link in a message or contact us directly.
4. Legal basis
We process your application data to take steps at your request prior to entering into an employment contract, and we send you notifications about your application on the basis of your consent, which you give by enabling notifications before submitting the form. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the review of your application — if you unsubscribe, we will contact you by email instead.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep application data for as long as needed to complete the hiring process and for up to [6 months] afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it earlier or the law requires a longer period. Notification subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the EU GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [contact@example.com].
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page.
